I am healing! Healing is the start to learning whats on the other side of our trauma story. True change starts from within by shifting.

Healing takes time, forgiveness and grace. If we change our thoughts, we can change our beliefs, which can change our lives; supporting the growth through our experiences. Do you seem to repeat the same experience but with different people? Do you have a hard time getting over a relationship or lost?

Life is too short to be unhappy šŸ«¶šŸ¾ Give yourself permission to do something about it.

ā€œYou don’t have to find the lesson in every painful experience. Sometimes surviving it was enough.ā€

Hear me out… Ive romanticized healing to the point that I thought every painful experience had to come with some profound lesson. I would put so much pressure on myself to make something meaningful out of everything Ive been through and continue to grow through.

Im always looking for the lesson or purpose of why it had to happen.

But some things just hurt.🫩

and honey Im tired! šŸ™„
(Im also dealing with perimenopause but thats another topic)

Some stuff just do not need a beautiful explanation.

You survived something that hurt you. āœ…

You kept going when it would’ve been easier to
give up. āœ…

You found your way back to yourself. āœ…

That can be enough šŸ«¶šŸ¾

Okay, let me explain what I mean.

Real Growth changes you.

It changes what feels good to you, what you tolerate, talk about, and who you connect with.

That doesn’t automatically erase the memories or mean certain relationships wasn’t real. It may simply mean you’re not headed in the same direction anymore.

The problem comes when you recognize the disconnect but keep trying to make the relationship fit anyway because of history or loyalty.

Ive personally have had to learn this bc losing my sister made me afraid of leaving things unresolved with people I loved, so I held on to relationships and people I probably would’ve otherwise let go a long time ago.
I learned that when a person leaves this earth, all the caddy bickering no longer matters. And forgiveness feels so much better to my spirit then resentment.

But I also learned that history isn’t always a reason to keep forcing something in the present….and loving someone doesn’t always mean holding on to them.

Some people are just not meant to grow with you. They are part of a chapter.

And the reality is, sometimes the next version of your life requires you to stop reaching back for people who belonged to the last one.

Isn’t it interesting how two people can experience the exact same situation and walk away with completely different stories about what happened?

That’s because we don’t experience life only through what happens….we experience it through our beliefs, wounds, expectations, & understanding at the time.

And maybe we don’t always have to agree on what something meant. Two different perspectives don’t automatically make one person right and the other wrong.

I think growth and understanding starts with accepting that your experience can be true for you, and theirs can be true for them.

You’re simply experiencing the same thing from two different places.

And you don’t always have to agree.

Just caring enough to understand where the other person is coming from, even when you see it differently is enough to at least have a starting point of understanding.

Ma’am… Sir… it’s ego. šŸ˜‚
He was never a good friend, and you dodged a bullet not dating her.

You know this.

Stop romanticizing it.

ā€œStop waiting for the storm to pass. Learn how to dance in the rain.ā€

One of the biggest storms of my life was losing my sister and I would never call what happened to her a blessing, but when I look at everything that grew out of that season of my life, I can see that the pain didn’t leave me empty.

Life is peaks and valleys & I stopped believing that the peaks are where all the blessings happen a long time ago.

Sometimes there’s something waiting for us in the valley too but we spend so much time trying to get out of the hard parts of life that we don’t always stop to ask what they’re trying to teach us.

If we’re constantly trying to escape the pain, numb it, rush through it, or get back to the good part, we can miss what the valley can teach.

The valley is where most of my growth has happened, and sometimes where I’ve had to make some of the biggest moves of my life.

Maybe learning to dance in the rain is learning to trust that even when life doesn’t feel good, God is still working it out for YOUR good.

Happy Friday, beautiful souls. šŸ¤Ž Just a gentle reminder: you can’t change what you haven’t learned to recognize.

ā€œSometimes the pattern you’re trying to understand is the one you’re helping create.ā€

I’ve had to sit with this one. šŸ¤“

Because there are relationships I’ve lost that I really didn’t want to lose. And for a long time, it was easy to look at what they did or didn’t do, to why things didn’t work.

But lately I’ve been asking myself what did I bring into it?

I know my intentions & when I’m trying to help. But I’m also realizing that sometimes the way I say something can take away from what I actually meant. And if I keep finding myself hurt over relationships I didn’t want to lose, I have to be willing to look at that.

Not every relationship ended because of me….& everything that happened wasn’t mine to carry.

But some of it is mine to work on, and that’s part of real growth.
