RIP Brad Arnold from 3 Doors Down.
In 2014, American Hitmen played a show in Nashville, TN, with Charlie Daniels, Clint Black, Kelli Pickler, Lee Greenwood, & one other country band whose name escapes me. Daniel Cord was pulled onstage to play a song with the Charlie Daniels Band & I was watching from backstage, when Brad Arnold walked up & started chatting with me. Super nice dude with a STRONG Southern accent. A few minutes later, this random guy shows up backstage & everyone starts shaking his hand and hugging him. Brad & I were jokingly ribbing this dude between ourselves for a solid 10 minutes about his bedazzled jeans & perfectly-coifed "good ol' boy" look, when all of the sudden, he walks out on stage to thunderous applause. The reaction this dude got was nuts! He even turned & shook his butt at the crowd & made them lose their minds even more.

Turns out, Mr. Bedazzled Jeans was Luke Bryan & neither of us had a clue who that was. Brad & I had a good laugh about it, because even when we heard his name, we still had no idea who Luke Bryan was at the time. We both agreed we were doing something wrong in the music business with a laugh & parted ways.

That story has made me laugh for 12 years now. Thanks for the memory, Brad.

We threw a cancer benefit concert called Steph-A-Palooza, for our SLC friend, Steph Grandbouche, who is battling cancer as we speak & it was an INCREDIBLE event!
