ELEVATE is a cross-church young adult ministry,
We are not a church, but we do provide a community for young adults in the area who belong to churches that don’t focus on young adult ministry. This is place where you can serve and walk with people in your stage of life without having to leave your church home! And if you don’t have a church, we are aware of several in the area, and we’d love to get you connected to a local church in this area!

Global statistics of committed young adult Christians (not simply those who identify themselves as Christians, but those living out a Christian worldview).
Africa leads the way at 28%
North America is at 8%
I say again, 8%.
I did research in Collin County in 2017 about the reach of the church in our area, and the numbers worked out to about 6%. That tracks. This is not about condemnation, it's about opportunity. We have such a challenge and opportunity before us.
We're excited and optimistic about the church seizing the opportunity!

Excited to be in the room where it happens at The NXT Move event. 85 yound adult ministers from all around the globe (more international leaders in the room than US leaders).
Gonna be a big couple of days. The rest of the Christian world the globe over has not left behind young adults. May the American church not fall behind in ministering to this group as well.
Pray with me for this event that God will continue to use his people all over the world to know, love and disciple young adults toward a life of love for Christ.

Listening is one of the most important hacks of young adult ministry. It will provide quality context (in a ministry that's constantly shifting) and communicate the worth and value need to make real connections. Make every effort to listen well in your ministry.

Young Adult Ministry Tips:
It's important to keep discipleship as the main driver of planning. Often, "community" or "engagement" or "an experience" is what drives our event planning. But discipleship is the core of ministry and all activity should spring from its board.

Its all too common for young adult ministry leaders to "wing it" when it comes to ministering to young adults. There's a better way. Take the time to build a strategy and value structure. Doing so actually facilitates freedom rather than restricting it.

The best-received correction comes from someone you know who loves you! Challenge from the pulpit is one thing, but the correction in the context of relationships is even better. Make a personal connection before you shoot the arrows of correction.
