Her courage carried her forward.
This is part 1 to Tablets story. She chose hope long before she ever had support. At just 11 years old, she made the brave decision to leave everything she knew in search of a safer future, carrying her past with her while stepping into the unknown. Her journey across borders, through uncertainty, and into a new country is a testament to resilience that was already alive inside her.
Arriving in Texas alone and entering foster care meant learning a new language, a new culture, and how to navigate college without family by her side. ISF had the privilege of walking alongside Tablets by providing tutoring, mentorship, and financial support — not to give her strength, but to help remove barriers so the strength she already had could thrive.
Stories like Tiblets’ move forward when people choose to show up — as mentors, investors, and advocates for students who already carry so much potential.

This is Part 1 to Jesus' story.
Jesus chose to pursue a better future, even while carrying the weight of his past. Like many former foster youth, he’s had to navigate emotional challenges, pressure to become independent early, and the financial realities of college — all while trying to stay motivated and hopeful. That choice to keep moving forward is his strength.
ISF has the privilege of walking alongside Jesus by helping remove financial barriers and connecting him with a mentor who believes in him. The support doesn’t create his drive, it protects the space for it to grow. His progress is the result of his determination, and we’re proud to stand with him as he builds the life he’s working toward.
