"You know how they say that a dog can tell the character of a man? It's never a bad idea to be wary of folks who make the dog nervous. Our dear friend Rodney Moore had the same kind of instinct and intuition. The Moores are a loyal and affectionate clan, and they sniff out good people with true and kind hearts.

Scott Womack is one of those good guys. Some people are born to help and to serve. Scott is a current high school teacher, a former service member, and a community supporter of charity organizations such as People Feeding People.

We met Scott Womack while he was performing at various shows and open mic nights with Rodney around the DFW area. Anyone who heard them harmonize together knows they witnessed something truly special. It was heartwarming to watch them support each other with original music and their favorite cover songs, from rock, grunge, and country artists. "

Scott is also one of the founders of the Moore Like Rodney Festival, a beautiful tribute to his friend and partner in music. Scott will be kicking off the night on April 25 at 8pm, song swapping with fellow Rodney pals Sunshine Emery and Stefan Prigmore. We'll see you there! 🎵 🐕 😃

I’m really excited to share the official flyer for the 2026 Moore Like Rodney Festival.

This event wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our host venue, Lonestar Bar and Backyard, who have opened their doors and backyard to help us bring this evening of music and community together. If you’ve spent any time there, you know it’s one of the best places in Fort Worth to experience live music with good people.

Most importantly, the festival benefits the incredible work of People Feeding People, a local organization serving members of our unhoused community with dignity, compassion, and real help where it’s needed most.

This whole day is about honoring Rodney’s spirit the best way we know how — through music, community, and looking out for each other.
