๐Ÿฅก Need a quick meatless meal?

Orange tofu with rice and sauteed cabbage is a staple on our weekly menu.

It's nutrient dense, cost effective, and most importantly easy to make.

And of course, it tastes great! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I made this orange sauce from scratch, and it was so so so good. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿพ

I don't typically order orange anything when I go out for Chinese-American food, but this sauce is THAT good.

I'll stop rambling now, but if you haven't tried orange tofu, I highly recommend it.

Snickerdoodle cookies ๐Ÿช

Because it's been a while since I've posted anything sweet on here. ๐Ÿฌ

I haven't really been making the time to bake lately, but when I do I typically make these Snickerdoodle cookies.

They're super easy to make, fast, and so delicious! ๐Ÿคค

I didn't always appreciate the subtleties of the Snickerdoodle.

My partner really taught me to appreciate them. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ‘จ

Probably by always asking me to make them. ๐Ÿ˜…

In the process, I did a bunch of research on the difference between these and say...Sugar cookies and my mind was sufficiently blown. ๐Ÿคฏ

(There's actually a difference)

So anyhoo, that inspired me to turn it into a blog post.

๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ It will be one of the first recipes I share whenever I get around to re-launching my website. (Woohoo!)

๐ŸณChickpea Omelette with Avocado and Hashbrowns *Chef's Kiss*

Yesterday I was looking through all of the food pics that I've taken this year and I ran across this beauty in the archives. I can't believe I never shared it!

This is a photo of brunch that a good friend .smith whipped up one day. I helped out some, but let's be honest: I was a guest and she was doing the bulk of the work.

This was my first time experiencing a "Vegan Omelette", and it was delicious! Filled with caramelized vegetables and topped with avocado and a lil' bit of Crystal's, it was bangin'.

As I reflect, I'm so grateful for my family and friends that I've picked up along the way. I'm a bit of a workaholic, and I realize it's important to take time to rest and reconnect regularly. As you go into the weekend, remember to create some space for yourself and those you care about.

So happy holidays! Whatever you choose to celebrate, remember to give thanks ๐Ÿ’•

So a new recently opened up in North Texas, and I'm really loving it! Since all of the fuss has died down, I've been visiting multiple times per week, and discovering some of the great and options that they have available. I'm looking forward to sharing some cool items as well as great deals that they have!

๐Ÿจ This first recommendation is a flavor of ice cream that I hold near and dear to my heart. I must say, HEB nailed it on this one! It's so perfectly:
-Smooth and creamy
-Flavorful (but not artificial)
-Balanced (with a hint of salty)

Very satisfied, and highly recommended the "Pistachio" non-dairy ice cream. When did dairy-free ice cream get this good?๐Ÿฆ
