The last of my supplies came in! Coral beads, tiger eye, howlite, and the paperclip chains! Now, back to work! So far, I've gotten through one pile of scraps that I'm about to finish repurposing and repairing before I hop on to the next one.

LET ME BE VERY CLEAR.

Here at UndocuBeads, we don't tolerate any racist, xenophobic, homophobic bu****it. We don't play gender favorites and we respect your pronouns. The color of your skin doesn't define your characterβ€” actions do.

As a Mexican immigrant-owned business, it breaks my heart hearing day in and day out what's happening in our communities. We can't continue to wake up feeling numb, angry, helpless... whatever other emotions you might feel.

And while I can't carry the weight of the world on my shoulders, I do my best to channel my energy through a creative. It doesn't fully take the pain away, but it makes every day tolerable.

Which is why I am choosing to put a portion of my sales to help people on the ground doing all the hard work in helping out families during these difficult times and maybe that's not much, but it's the only thing I find strength in to help my community stay afloat.
..and if you ever want to vent, shoot me a DM.

It's okay to not be okay.

When I tell you I've been busy, I've been quite busy finding things to restock and buying supplies to make new things! This is two days worth of shopping (and it's only 2/3 of it!). It'll be a busy couple of days, but totally worth it! Really wish I had better luck trying to find anime jewelry charms, but that's like finding a needle in a haystack.

After moving back in, I came across my very first sign ever made for my brand. The frame that it came in broke a few years ago, but I've never had the heart to toss it out. Hope everyone is taking care and looking out for each other. Remember, you're not alone and being kind doesn't cost a thing.

We moved back in into our house in mid-November and I hadn't set time aside to organize my desk until last weekend. Unopened mail, flyers from school, books, jewelry components I have yet to use, etc. I love having my clean desk. It makes me feel like the moving back is finally finished. I decided this year, I need to nurture my other artistic abilities (drawing, playing my french horn, writing). I may bring some of these into my UndocuBeads space now and then and expand my little business.

There is one thing I want to do for sure. I want my profits to go solely to an organization and/or individuals in dire need. Please DM with your recommendations. I'm looking forward to where the fruits of my labor will go this year. Last year, it was my alma mater, Skyline HS. Who is next?

The years have come and gone and here I am celebrating TEN YEARS of jewelry designing from scraps, new beads, and more! I am thankful I have made it this far with my little brand. That's honestly what it was β€” something little, something that was in the back of my head when I was a college student. I had a dream and put it into some action.

First, it was my own broken jewelry that I wanted to save and repurpose, then my logos, and then putting my theories and designing into practice until I felt brave enough to share my gift to those close to me. From one pop-up to another and then another... and another!

Not everything was an instant success and not every market I chased after or signed up for was an approval. Budgeting for these things along with doing your own marketing materials is time consuming but nevertheless, so worth it.

I am thankful for all the clients I've had these years. All the vendors I've been able to meet and network with, and all venues I've had the opportunity to vend in. Rain or shine, I've been able to make it work somehow for the past ten years. So here's to ten more years of new opportunities! πŸ₯‚
