Imagine a community that celebrates each person. A place where there is no exclusion, or segregation, but instead a place of inclusion. A place where people are just people and they can come with their dreams, pains, joys, and differences to find commonalities, friendships, and purpose in that which they share. A place where people are free to work, rest, create. A place where we are all inkorpora

We MUST change the focus from independence to interdependence. Under this framework, individuals who have a disability are taught that assistance is not a deficit, and that knowing how to seek assistance is a positive attribute that leads toward self-sufficiency as an adult.

For People With Disabilities, Working Hard to Get a Job Is Not Enough 01/29/2020

"Employers that break down access barriers develop a stronger workforce. Numbering over 1.3 billion worldwide, people with disabilities are the largest minority group.

Employers are missing out on numerous talented, responsible, and driven workers. Avoid assumptions about what people with disabilities can or can't do.

People with disabilities often have alternative techniques that get the job done. The process of developing these alternative techniques leads to strong problem solving skills, fresh insights, and exciting new solutions.

People with disabilities drive innovation, sparking the creation of many of the technologies we use today.

Employers seeking a competitive advantage should invest in accessibility. These employers gain access to a large pool of talented workers, benefit from increased growth, and facilitate further innovation."

Studies also show that there is higher employee retention and lower absenteeism among this demographic.

Our Story

Imagine a community that celebrates each person. A place where there is no exclusion, or segregation, but instead a place of inclusion. A place where people are just people and they can come with their dreams, pains, joys, and differences to find commonalities, friendships, and purpose in that which they share. A place where people are free to work, rest, create. A place where we are all inkorporated into one humanity.

We are more than a coffee house. More than a store. More than a workplace or a place to create. It will be a place where we learn from mistakes and loss and we celebrate diversity and inclusion, youth, and humanity. A gathering place that will turn into a human rights movement.
