When I first started investing downtown, many of the neighborhoods people now love today were still in transition. Watching Dallas grow into one of the most active real estate investment markets in the country has been incredible.

✨Throwback Thursday✨

At 15, I wasn’t thinking about real estate or running a company, I was the MN State Rabbit Queen. 🐰 My mom’s minivan was packed with 70 Holland Lops, I was president of my 4-H club, and my days started at 4 a.m. feeding and ended de-icing barns in the Minnesota winter.❄️ Chores weren’t optional—they were just life.

A couple of weeks after sharing my “something nobody knows about me” story at the CREi Summit, my childhood best friend texted me this old newspaper clipping 📰 of me holding my rabbit, Ivan, after winning the MN State Crown.👑

Wild timing—it’s like I put it in the universe!

What I learned from teen rabbit life? Hard work, perseverance, and showing up even on the tough days. How to win (or lose) with grace. Lessons that still stick today, running my own company, managing multi-million-dollar projects, and investing in real estate.

And yes… that leather vest, bolo tie, and big 90’s hair? Totally back in style! 😎
