It’s been awhile to post. It’s been hard because after my shoulder surgery in May 2024 it hasn’t been easy. Complications from surgery, followed my another procedure under anesthesia in September 2024. Then coming back to seasoning young ones all while trying to get my shoulder healthy again. It’s cost me a lot but I’ve learned so much this year and hope that the growth continues. So I’ll try to keep posting and keep moving forward!! Hebrews 11:1

Slow progress over here. Some setbacks that I’m awaiting an ortho appointment to make sure I haven’t damaged my repair. I’m working hard on learning more patience and faith in the process and I have a good friend that points me in the right direction from her own battle!! The horses are still working outstanding and when I do get back I definitely won’t have a shortage on what to ride! So if you’re going through something hard, or just not what you thought it would be remember to lean heavily on your faith, friends and know that it’s all part of the plan!!

I’m still down and not able to rope from a rotator cuff repair but they still get ridden/roped off of almost daily!! This 4yr old Metallic Malice is pretty cool. Owned by Rockin' Rafter P Ranches!! Thankful for continued trust in our training program even being down a person! I hope to start being able to give lessons again starting in July!!

I’ve been real quiet….well it’s easy to do when you feel inadequate. Roping has never been easy for me. I’m not naturally good at it. I have to work hard…probably harder than most and I don’t discount anyone’s work ethic but I know me. This past few months I’ve been beaten and no one likes to get beat. Especially when I’ve beaten myself. Roping and rodeo is way more mental then it’s is skill. If you put in the work the skill is there. So yes I’ve been quiet, I’ve been mad, I’ve been defeated, and most of all disappointed in myself. But no matter what I’m not out. I will go home, but you can bet I’m going to be back. I’m going to go home work more on myself probably harder than I ever have before. Because I refuse to let me beat my own self. The only way to get better is to know that it’s possible and even though I may not look very good right now I refuse to let that stop me. I will continue to have a strong faith and know that even though this path hasn’t gone anything like I have wanted it, I will listen and follow and stand strong in my faith!! It’s way past time to relight my fire and get back to what I’ve know all along!!
