Purple Heart Texas Rangers Game 2026 - Combat wounded veterans located in North / East Texas, through the generosity of the Texas Rangers, brought 100 Purple Heart Recipients, with their families - 200 people to the Texas Rangers Game. Combat Wounded Veterans are gifted a day out to enjoy the freedoms they fought and sacrificed for. Play Ball!!!! Let's Go Rangers!!

Jack Wilkes (LTCol, USMC, Retired), a Purple Heart Recipient who was representing The Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1513, The Cowboy Chapter, at Granbury High School MCJROTC Award Ceremony held 23 April 2026, and Wichita Falls Legacy Highschool JROTC 25 April 2026
Military Order of the Purple Heart Youth Awards for JROTC were presented by Jack Wilkes, LTCol USMC, Retired. Jack Wilkes, who serves as the Chief of Staff West for Chapter 1513 - presented The Badge of Merit Awards Issued to the following Cadets

Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1513 proudly supports over 60 Highschool JROTC / ROTC programs in the North and East Texas region.

The Modern Woodmen of America honored a Hometown-hero Lazaro Camarillo III. Past Military Order of the Purple Heart Dept of Texas Commander.
Lazaro was recognized for his lifelong commitment includes supporting programs for homeless veterans and ensuring fellow veterans have access to local VA clinics and hospitals. Now living in South Texas, this Hero is surrounded by the love of his wife, children, and grandchildren. His legacy is defined not only by courage under fire, but by decades of selfless service to veterans and the community he proudly calls home.
