Regrettably, violence is becoming more prevalent in our workplace, in our churches, and on our streets. We can take steps that effectively deter it and/or stop it, but we've got to make the commitment to do so! STOP AND THINK! When we as business owners and executives realize that the investment associated with prevention and control of violence is insignificant when compared to the cost of a single act of violence, we have taken a major step in providing for the safety of our associates and the life of our businesses.

Conceal Pro was established to provide training to prevent and/or stop these types of tragedies. It is now becoming obvious, and as we predicted, that "Gun Free Zones" do nothing to prevent workplace violence and may actually encourage it by communicating the vulnerability of a location. The key to stopping violence is training that enables employees to recognize and report violence indicators, evade violence if possible, or apply sufficient
force to stop an act should it occur.

It was very good of this mother to be thankful for the Sheriff's Dept.'s quick response, but notice that she was the one who removed the intruder from her house. This is as it should be. We're responsible for our own safety, and that of our loved ones. It is not the peace officer's responsibility to secure our homes and our personal safety. That should always be up to you and me.
