Recently ranked number 7 on North America’s 50 Best Restaurants List and now officially a 2026 James Beard Award semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation.

Nok Suntaranon does an incredible job showcasing electric interpretations of traditional Thai recipes. They are bold, layered, and deeply personal.

Her mother, Kalaya, ran a stall in the Yan Ta Khao market in southern Thailand, known for her aromatic curry pastes and devoted following. Naming the restaurant after her is a quiet tribute to that legacy - discipline, flavor, and heritage carried forward.
