Today would have been Carolyn's 68th birthday. One of the things that surprised me the most about Carolyn was when I learned that her favorite place to have her birthday lunch was Luby's. I expected some fancy-smancy place but nope, it was Luby's. In a tradition that started long before I arrived on the scene at Carolyn Shamis Realtors, Luby's was the place where all of us in the office went to celebrate
our birthdays and occasionally, a holiday office luncheon. And even though we had fancier lunches throughout the year, I swear it was the place we all looked forward to the most, especially Carolyn. That Mississippi girl LOVED her home cookin'! Thinking of you today Carolyn!! - Lauren (had to break it up into 2 posts, ack)
