Check this out, it doesn't get any better than this! We love delivering fresh mushrooms to Chef Clint Connoway at Rio Brazos Ranch Grill. We deliver every single week to make sure they have the freshest, greatest tasting mushrooms aorund! This is what we live for, making people happy and sharing the love of mushrooms with our community.
Great food starts long before it hits the grill.
At Rio Brazos Grill, many of the ingredients we use come from local farms, small businesses, and trusted suppliers right here in our community. Itās our way of supporting the people around us while bringing you fresher, more thoughtful dishes.
From local hands to your table, every plate has a story behind it.
This bag was fully colonized and looking solid... but that's not the end of the story. We break it up to wake the mycelium back up and spread that growth evenly through the bag.
More contact points = faster, stronger colonization. That fluffy white growth at the end? That's healthy, active mycelium doing its thing.

We first want to take a moment to acknowledge the damage that came through Mineral Wells this past Tuesday. Our hearts are with this community and everyone affected by the tornadoes. Weāre keeping you all in our thoughts and hope to support in whatever ways we can in the days ahead.
We will be out at Let's Grow Crazy this weekend, and weād love for you to come by and see Connie. Showing up for local markets right now is one small way we can all help support the community.
Weāll have all our usuals availableāfresh mushrooms, mushroom jerky, broth, extracts, gummies, and infused honey.
Itās shaping up to be a beautiful weekend, even if itās a little on the chilly side, and weāre looking forward to being out there with everyone.

Check out what we were cooking up last week. Mike was hard at work making sure that everyone had their spicy teriyaki jerky. It's become a customer favorite at most the markets.
We want to know, which is your favorite: spicy teriyaki or sweet teriyaki jerky? Also is there another flavor you'd like to see us try? Leave your answers in the comments!

We are excited to announce that we are extending the hours of the Hood County Farmers Market from 9am to 1pm. Previously, we shut down at 12, but after seeing so many customers still shopping at 12, it only made sense to extend the hours.
Next weekend, we have our big Mother's Day Market with lots of amazing vendors, great shade from the shade trees, lots of room to spread out. We really love our new location out behind StoneWater Church and in front of Cinergy Movie Theater. It's been such a blessing to get to move to that location for our market.
We continue to see it grow week after week. We have put in so much hard work to help grow this market, and seeing it finally become what we imagined all along is really special to us. Come see Jason from 9:00 to 1:00 this next Saturday and every Saturday after that!
Big news for the market!
After a lot of thought (and watching all of you still shopping right at noon š), weāve decided to extend our market hours.
New hours are now 9:00 AM ā 1:00 PM, effective immediately.
We want to give our customers a little more time to shop and our vendors a little more time to serve youābecause letās be honest, no one likes feeling rushed at the end of a good market morning.
This may shift again when the summer heat really kicks in, but for now weāre excited to give this a try and see how it goes!
Weāve got a great lineup coming this Saturday, and weād love to see you out there. Come take your time, grab your favorites, and enjoy the market with us.
Got home a few hours ago from the markets - we had three today!
We sold out of blues and Lions Mane (thanks y'all!) and I could have sold more if I had them. We brought just a few back with us, not bad at all!
Market days can be a lot, but we are so grateful for this community that continue to show up for us week after week. ā¤ļø Truly, thank you.
Now it's time to rest! After we harvest mushrooms that is. The job of a mushroom farmer is never complete!

This bag of Lionās Mane may not look like much yet⦠but to us, itās huge.
Today we inoculated our 500th batch. That means weāve officially inoculated over 9,000 bags since we started tracking our process.
9,000 bags of substrate
9,000 chances to grow something from nothing
9,000 steps in building this farm, one batch at a time
Every single one represents early mornings, long days, learning curves, wins, losses, and a whole lot of persistence.
When we started, we were just figuring things out as we went. Now weāre dialing in systems, tracking data, and continuing to grow something we truly believe in.
This one bag might look simpleā¦but it carries 500 batches worth of experience behind it.
Weāre really proud of this moment.
And weāre really grateful youāre all here with us for the journey!

Everything we need is already here.
The earth provides in ways weāre still learning to understand⦠from the soil beneath our feet to the food on our tables.
Today weāre just taking a moment to appreciate it all.
To slow down, pay attention, and care for what takes care of us.
Happy Earth Day š
