The straggler. Every year I run around the house gathering all of the Christmas decorations and setting them into categories to pack up. This year Ed did the brunt of it. But no matter who does it or how organized we are, there is always a straggler. A nuisance kitchen towel or ornament that somehow hid out-of-sight (or maybe in plain sight) that sits inside laughing after everything is put away in the attic. I should use the straggler as a start to decluttering, but instead it will sit there and taunt us until we finally go back up to the attic again and throw it into the the first box we see. And the organization of it all immediately ends. I know this. I write this. And I am going to just call it tradition instead of doing the right thing because I know full well we aren’t going back in the attic today. Or maybe even tomorrow or next week. In fact, there is a solid chance it will hang out until we get Easter decor out.

Now that kids are back in school in person, it is time to make sure those uniforms, hoodies, sweaters and jackets get labeled. No better way than a monogram!
