It's Day 11 of our 'Organize your space in 50 days!' series. The best part of this project is that you only have to spend a few minutes every day (and not a lot of money), to get life -altering results. It's Sunday again, and a good day to think about planning for the week ahead. Getting your supplies together for lunch prep will save you time, and make your week a lot less stressful. Plus you still have time to grab some sandwich bags from the store, if you're running low. Who wants to deal with running out midweek?! Now have you ever tried to coral a stack of sandwich bags that have broken free of the box they came in (as they always do)? A bag organizer keeps things tidy, attractive...and clean. You never have to deal with grubby fingers smearing peanut butter and jelly on an entire box of lunch bags! And the icing on the cake - now you can tell at a glance when you're running low. I got this from amazon. They come in several colors, including white, black and several wood tones. There are plastic ones too. This took all of 2 minutes! Now you're all set for packing lunches the rest of the week. Yay! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

It's Day 10 of our 'Organize your space in 50 days!' series. 20% down and 80% to go. Phew! Saturdays are great days to do major groceries. Shopping efficiently and putting things away is so easy when you allocate a place for everything. The best system is to divide your space into 'zones' for specific functions and tasks. I've shown you one half of my 'Drinks zone' last week, with the beverage station and everything you need for warm drinks. On the other side of the refrigerator, I have a couple of drink drawers - makes it so easy to refill the refrigerator. Just grab and refill simultaneously. It's been about 105 degrees all week in Dallas, so heaven-forbid you run out of cold drinks (I shudder to think)! I'm planning to start re-organizing the pantry on Monday as I have the day off...so I'll show you the rest of the grocery unpacking then. Stay tuned! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

It's Fri-yay and Day 9 of our 'Organize your space in 50 days!' series. 😎 Getting ready for the weekend and I plan to bulk cook some soup and beef stew tomorrow. I decided to organize my pot drawers to set the mood. I love 😍😍😍 I love the wood tones of these non-stick pots. I got my set from a few trips to . Again, picking neutral tones paid off, as finding matching pieces was pretty easy and I could build the set over time. I lined the bottom of the drawers with the Pegboard drawer organizers from . No more banged up pot drawers, and the pegs keep everything in place. Now I'm ready to get cooking tomorrow πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³ Who's with me?

It's Day 8 of our 'Organize your space in 50 days!' series. I really loved how the salt shakers brightened up the kitchen counter, so I thought I'd showcase another simple idea that packs quite a punch. Storing citrus in glass jars on the counter can be just as pretty and warm as a bouquet of fresh flowers. Try it and see. Any fruit would work actually. Don't say I've never done anything for you! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

It's Day 7!' And end of week One πŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™‚οΈ. Wednesdays are VERY long office days for me, I only had a minute, but I didn't want to break the flow. So I racked my brains for the quickest thing to do. Did this under 2 minutes πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ But it was giving! Filling salt and pepper shakers may not seem like much, but this set from gave the countertop some pizzazz! All in all, it was a good day, and I give myself my πŸ’

It's Day 6 of our 'Organize your space in 50 days!' series, and we're still going strong πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ Today I kept it simple, just did the crockery. I've had these dishes from for 15 years -no cap! I like white plates so I can just keep building the set and not worry about matching up an old set. For a bit of color, I added the blue bowls, also from . This drawer took less than 7 minutes to set up, and then it was on to the glasses and bottles. Don't laugh, but I hate having a hodgepodge of milk and juice containers in the refrigerator, so I've got a ton of glass bottles to decant them in. I promise - it only takes a couple of minutes to pour them, and it looks fab! Plus, they are clear bottles so now you know exactly when you're running low. Who here has run out of fresh milk mid-breakfast on a wednesday morning, WITH school age kids? Raise a handπŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ. They are dishwasher safe too! for the win! P.S I was quite proud of myself cos I didn't break a single thing. I'm Miss Butterfingers, so that was no small miracle! πŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

It's Day 5 of our 'Organize your space in 50 days!' series. Monday is my day off, so I thought I'd set up a quick 'on-the-go' breakfast and snack bar for the busy mornings ahead. I stocked it with the stuff we use most often. One drawer had the proper tea/coffee stuff, and one drawer was dedicated to disposables - for the days when I REALLY have to grab-and-go. Can you tell yet that I love yellow? I think yellow-toned breakfast things 'smile' at you, and start your day off on a 'sunny' note. 🌞🌞🌞. The cereal containers are OXO brand and airtight, and the snack jars are airtight as well. I got them both from . The drawer organizers and the teacup set are from . Two of my favorite stores for all things home organization! Now I'm all set for the mornings, probably shaved a good 10 minutes of playing hide -and-seek with utensils from my morning routine. Bliss! 😎🀩 P.S Did you notice my photobomber? Archie (one of the dogs) kept guard the whole time. He was probably wondering what I was up to πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Day 4 is a Sunday - great day for your weekly food prep! I thought it'd be fitting to organize all that tupperware. It took just a few minutes to let go and bin all the covers that had no bowls, and all the bowls that had no covers. They were a lost cause anyway, and I'm truly now too old to store garbage. (I may have shed a tear or two πŸ₯²). This took all of 10 minutes to set up the new set of black takeaway packs ( you can get those from Amazon, Costco etc). Now your guests can get leftovers without having to leave their kidneys behind as insurance that you'll get your good tupperware back! I had accumulated a decent stock of glass ones for home use. They are great! Glass means they are dishwasher and microwave safe. And they are clear, so you can actually see what you've got in them. No more pseudo-petri dishes growing science lab mold in your refrigerator. Stacking them in a drawer, and separate from the covers saves space and keeps things from cascading down on top of you every time you open a cabinet. I'm feeling pretty chuffed! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

It's Saturday and Day 3 of our 'Organize your space in 50 days!' series. It's the weekend, so perhaps a good time to tackle one of the more time-consuming projects - organizing your spices. This wasn't as hard as I thought. The bottles were from Amazon, and so were the labels. I had to improvise a bit on some labels cos I have some less common spices πŸ™. I do make and ship custom labels to out of town clients, but this would do in a pinch. I'm currently working on setting up an online store so you can order your own set of customized labels from my store. Stay tuned for more info on that. The larger spices are OXO containers; the ones I use most often are in a drawer right by the cooker and the more exotic ones up in a cabinet. I love love love having my spices right where I need them! 😍 I'm feeling very accomplished! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

It's Day 2 of our 'Organize your space in 50 days!' series. πŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€ΈπŸ½β€β™‚οΈ The best part of this project is that you only have to spend a few minutes every day (and not a lot of money), to get life-altering results. I loved the results from the silverware drawer so much, I went a lil' crazy with it. Hence this fun party double-drawer. If you have kids, this would be a winner! For adults, just change up the contents and you're good to go. This took about 10 to 15 minutes. Well 25 minutes if you count the 10 whole minutes that I spent admiring it. Now you're all set for entertaining this weekend. Yay! πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ’ƒπŸ½

Hi! So in honor of my 50 years on planet earth, I'm going to be sharing 50 easy peasy, inexpensive and practical tips to organizing and glamming up your space in 50 days! Can you tell just how excited I am about this project?! One of my birthday gifts to myself was to declutter and organize every nook and cranny of my home and office. And yes self-birthday gifts are a thing πŸ˜‚ Organizing your space saves time and money, and vastly improves productivity and happiness. I have less time on earth than I started out with, so I need to not spend it fighting clutter, and hunting down missing (or maybe misplaced itemsπŸ€”).Day 1: A silverware drawer organizer is worth its weight in gold. It cuts down on mysteriously disappearing forks and spoons. And makes emptying the dishwasher so easy, even your toddler can help. They start from $5 for plastic or acrylic ones and about $30 for the high end wooden ones. This is mid-range from the UPDATTERA series at IKEA. They also have plastic ones for a lot cheaper. It's pretty indestructible and I've had this one for at least a decade. Cleans easily too with a moist towel. What's not to love! 😍
