Our Honduras Threads team is officially gearing up for our upcoming mission trip to Honduras! Very soon, our missionaries will be on the ground, visiting the talented women artisans and their beautiful families in their own communities.
We often get asked: “Where exactly do the funds from my purchases and donations go?” This trip is the perfect answer to that question. Some of the most beautiful moments during our cross-border missions don’t happen on a stage—they happen huddled around a work table, lit by the warm Honduran sun.
When our teams visit from Dallas, one of our favorite traditions is creating a space where the children of the “Arte y Creatividad” cooperative can learn directly from the master artists in their lives: their mothers. Together with the missionaries, the kids discover the patience, precision, and history woven into every single dense stitch.
Watching a child realize that their mother isn’t just sewing, but creating world-class fine art, is magical. They aren’t just learning an embroidery technique; they are inheriting a legacy of independence, entrepreneurship, and creative pride. By understanding the dedication behind Honduras Threads, these children see firsthand how their mothers are independently providing a better life and a brighter future for their entire household.
