DFW Pup Patrol Fans

Sometimes when a foster family has dedicated so much time, care, and love into a medical needs pup, it just becomes too hard to let go when that pup is all better and becomes adoptable. Dixie Diamond is one of those very special pups. Her foster parents, Jennifer Clowers and Eric Clowers, have taken wonderful care of her and her DFW PP alumn brother, Snow, along with a kitty member of the family, just can't imagine life without her now. You are home baby girl!!!

We want to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone SO VERY MUCH for donating towards the necessary funds for her medical and therapeutic needs, for all the prayers, and to those who have been so supportive of her! It's been a lengthy journey, but so very worth it!!! Congratulations to you sweet Dixie Diamond and to your entire family 💞.

Looking for a gentle giant in the making? Look no further than sweet Tilly! She is estimated to have been born around the beginning of May 2025. Mom was an Anatolian Shepherd mix and her dad might have been a Great Dane (but we are not sure on that.) She is already stealing hearts with her calm demeanor and soft, soulful eyes. Tilly is crate trained and making great progress with her potty training. She’s a bright girl who’s just beginning to discover the world-and she’s taking it all in with a quiet, curious spirit. She’s looking for a patient and loving home that will continue to guide her through puppyhood. She can only be adopted local to DFW as she still has some vetting that needs to be completed when she’s old enough. Her sweet disposition makes her a perfect companion for someone ready to raise a big hearted (and likely big bodied!) pup with lots of love to give. If you’re ready to open your home to a gentle soul and watch her grow into her giant paws, Tilly just might be your perfect match.

Meet Dixie Diamond, a Husky/German Shepherd mix pup, who is about 3-1/2 yrs old and weighs approximately 68 lbs. Her foster home does have another dog and a cat she gets along with and she loves every person she meets! This gal is potty trained and loves to cuddle!

Dixie Diamond joined our rescue organization after being hit by a car; her owner was going to shoot her if nobody offered to help. She has now had 3 surgical procedures done to her hip and knee accompanied by concurrent appropriate durations of recovery and therapy. She has been such a good sport about it all!!! Her last radiograph review showed muscle mass continues to improve, so great news!

She does have expected osteoarthritis in her hip that will need to be proactively managed with regular exercise and appropriate supplements so she can continue to run and play like other pups! This girl is now looking for a loving dedicated home, so if you are an active individual or an active family looking for a very special addition, Dixie Diamond may be just the girl you’re looking for!
