"Fushimi Inari Shrine (伏見稲荷大社, Fushimi Inari-Taisha) is an important Shinto shrine in southern Kyoto. It is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings. The trails lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which stands at 233 meters and belongs to the shrine grounds.

Fushimi Inari is the most important of several thousands of shrines dedicated to Inari, the Shinto god of rice. Foxes are thought to be Inari's messengers, resulting in many fox statues across the shrine grounds. Fushimi Inari Shrine has ancient origins, predating the capital's move to Kyoto in 794."

This was my first stop after checking into my hotel.

and unspoiled nature. Abaca Village is located amongst plunging waterfalls, sweeping panoramic views of volcanic mountains, and a breathtaking view of Viti Levu's coastline. If 5-Star hotels or resorts is more your tempo, then hiking around this tropical wilderness of primeval rainforests is definitely not the correct recommendation for you. This is more for nature lovers and those who want a legitimate cultural adventure in an authentic Fijan village where villagers have opened up their native lands to visitors. I'm waiting for someone, or anyone at this point, to show up at the vistor center so that I can sign in (and pay a small fee) in order to access their beautiful land. Bring your hiking shoes...

🇮🇸 Breathtaking

The terrain in Iceland is out of this world. This waterfall has always made me think about Earth's beginning 😯

The photograph you see is comprised of two photos, both taken 2.5 hours apart (from the same exact location, tripod, and camera), blended together to create the final image you see now. The foreground was taken during sunset and the background (the night sky) was taken during the night. Seems fitting for such a beautiful and otherworldly location.
