We recently attended the CTE Junior & Senior Job Fair at Royse City High School. We had the opportunity to speak to many students about the trades, the demand of the skilled trades and the industry opportunities. Apprentices perform heating and air conditioning maintenances on several different brands and types of units so that will be familiar with them all and the different steps involved in a tune up when they get out into the field.

Cohort 1 Is learning how to properly cut, glue and connect PVC which HVAC Technicians have to do in order to properly run drain lines on an Air Conditioning system.

One of the main goals of brazing in HVAC is to ensure a strong and leak-free joint. It is essential to practice proper brazing methods to prevent leaks and potential overheating of the system. Below is a photo of Apprentice Romaine practicing his brazing skills. 🔥

At TechTrack we have skilled instructors that have many years of in field experience.

The apprentices are learning from the best on how the motorized components work together harmoniously. There are many pieces to the puzzle. Understanding how an air conditioning systems work is essential. We work hard to ensure our Apprentices have a broad understanding of the Refrigeration Cycle and the removal of heat from indoor air.

In week one, technician Steven came to speak to the class about how he got started in hvac and gave the apprentices some tips to becoming a seasoned technician.
