A little past midnight, 896 answered a 2 alarm apartment fire at 9873 Brockbank Dr. E43 arrived and found heavy fire showing from two apartments.

Last night, 896 & 897 answered a 1 alarm fire in the vacant apartments at S Zang & Argentia. First in companies found heavy fire showing from one of the vacant buildings. Crews were able to knock the fire down quickly.

First run of 2026 took 896 to 18790 Lloyd Dr for a 1 alarm fire in a 2 story apartment complex. E13 was first on scene with heavy fire showing from both floors.

Another early call for 896 as we answered a 2 alarm apartment fire at 9911 Whitehurst. The first calls came in at 0151 and dispatchers reported they could “hear fire crackling in the background of the call.”
E57 arrived and found fire on all three floors of the building. Numerous residents were trapped and had to be rescued. Fire burned through the majority of the building and was fully extinguished at approximately 0500. Three residents were transported to the hospital with injuries.

Just after 6 this morning, 896 answered what would eventually become a 2 alarm fire at the Campisi’s restaurant at 5405 W Lovers Ln. T27 arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the roof. The fire was traced to the area between the outer roof and inner ceiling. Access was very difficult and it required cutting numerous holes in the roof to eventually extinguish.

Last night, 897 answered a 1 alarm apartment fire at 9607 Wickersham Rd in NE Dallas. E39 was first on scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing from a downstairs unit. Thankfully there were no injuries and crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

Just after 3am, 896 answered a 2 alarm apartment fire at 4055 Frankford Rd in Far North Dallas. First in companies found heavy fire from a first floor apartment with extension to much of the building. Two victims were rescued from the fire origin apartment but sadly both have passed away.
