After a tough weekend in Wheatland at my first Champ race, we lost an engine in the 07 car. Definitely not the result we wanted, but that’s racing sometimes.
We regrouped this weekend with the 137 car at the Outlaw Series at Eagles Canyon Raceway. Broke a rotor in the first heat, got it fixed, went back out and ended up P1 in Pro SXS.
Feels good to finally have a healthy 137 car again. Now it’s time to get the 07 back together, test and tune over Memorial Weekend, and get ready for the next Champ race at the end of the month.
Huge thank you to everyone who helps keep us going every weekend.
Monday–Thursday: wrench.
Friday: qualify.
Saturday: race.
Repeat.
This is what race life looks like when the driver is also the mechanic. Countless shop nights, help from great friends and Quinn, all building toward this weekend in the new 07 at Lucas Oil Speedway. Time to go to work. 🏁
Nothing easy about this one.
Broken belts. Electrical issues. Limp mode. Still fought our way to P3 overall Sunday. 💪
Back at Lucas Oil Speedway with the Outlaw Central Series and we’re leaving faster than we showed up.
Next up: Champ debut. Let’s get it. 🔥
Durhamtown race weekend in the books!
Prepped the car myself, lined up against 12 fast pros, and was holding 5th for 9 laps before a brand-new belt blew on the final lap.
That’s how racing goes—but the weekend was solid, fast, and full of learning.
Back next year. Stronger.
Big thanks to North DFW Trailers and all my sponsors for keeping me on the track. 🏁
The wait is over… new J.Juan brakes straight from are HERE! Big thanks to Sal for getting them installed and ready to roll. Next stop: Wheatland – Lucas Oil Raceway 🏁
Race Recap | Lucas Oil Speedway – Wheatland! Coming off a 1st place finish last month, we battled hard this weekend and ended up taking 4th. It wasn’t the smoothest ride overheating inner cooler, a flat tire in the first heat, and then getting hit in the main which left me finishing with another bent trailing arm. Congrats to the top 3 drivers this weekend you all earned it. 👊Now it’s back to work. Big thanks to Sal at Texas Performance Solutions who will be tearing the car down and getting us dialed back in. Next stop: Outlaw Series at Eagles Canyon this coming weekend!
