Life has been a little nutty lately. Honestly, I had to step away from this platform for a while because my life needed to take priority. I’ve still been working while also trying to keep my health a priority. Thought I’d share a photo dump of “life” in stills.

If nature inspires you, let it flow into your home. Neutrals don’t have to be cold and boring! Warming neutrals with the right tones, lighting, and accessories make neutrals anything but boring. You want the following:

Golden undertones - not blue/gray undertones

Warm metals - polished nickel, brass, gold

Warm lighting - 2700-3000 kelvins

Accessories that have life: antiques and vintage pieces with patina and story

That’s it. That’s your recipe for a warm and inviting space that feels “safe” but is far from plain.

Decision were made. Slowly. As we painted. No rush. Just stepping back and listening to what the room needed.

Next week we’ll do the reveal!

Because of the snow/ice we’ve been forced inside a bit.

This morning when I looked outside my window I felt so much peace. That’s what home@should be, no?

While inside we’ve been doing a little of this and that! Picking up some furniture tomorrow. I can’t wait to@show you guys that finished room. Now if I can just get a key piece of art to arrive! The weather has delayed our deliveries, understandably.

All I can think about right now are HOT showers!

You know that super cool two town pink kitchen? It goes with this bathroom! I just loved working with these clients. They are bold and fun! Most of the ideas were theirs, I just gave some nudges and helped with finishes.

Sunken in bathtubs, separate vanities that make poor use of space, and dated finishes = potential!

When I first saw this bathroom and talked to my clients about how we could double their store and still give them a double vanity with lots of countertop space they were skeptical. (Mostly the husband - he really wanted a separate vanity space. 🤣) But once I drew up the plan, the vision become clear and the demo began!

Reclaiming the height and wall space in this bathroom while giving my 6’4 client a shower that he didn’t have to enter sideways was such a joy! They were SO much fun to work with and I happen to LOVE the end result.

Swipe left for the glorious before photos. I love my job.

I've just given my massive umbrella plant a stylish new home by covering its plastic pot, and the result is absolutely lovely! Simple solutions can be incredibly effective.

Don’t let all the beautiful images you find on this platform get you down - feeling like you have to spend a ton of money to have a beautiful home. Check out this amazing bathroom transformation…

We used a simple subway tile and added a few unique details like layout, trim, etc and paired it with a wow floor (less sq footage)! We kept the same layout, same cabinets etc.

Beauty on a budget? Possible and totally doable!

This is our client’s guest bath - I’d be happy to stay here. 😉 Beauty on a budget? Possible!!! Doable!!!

Beautiful homes on a budget. Yes, it's possible! I love being inspired by amazing designers with clients that have limitless budgets. And I know that for 98% of us, that's not real life. Budgets are real! So I say, splurge where it makes the most sense! In this client's guest remodel, we made big impact with amazing and then opted for a prefab vanity from that we then painted in Blackberry. The end result is simply stunning. I can't wait to show you the completed remodel.

You guys, making your work FOR you is the best advice I can give as a designer. Splurge where you should and save where you can. You'll love the results and the freedom that comes from it.
