2020 AQHA DW SAVANNAH CHEX CAT is a red dun gelding by A Savannah Cat and out of a granddaughter of Nu Chex To Cash.

"George", also fondly referred to as "Jorge", is the kind of horse everyone wants to own. Reliable, dependable, level headed, kind natured, laid back and willing to please. He has a professional handle and knows all the things: counterbends, disengagement, collection, impulsion, lead departures, sliding stop, and much MUCH more. He's very close to being finished and with just a touch more consistency will be there in a month or two. He is soft, responsive, and never gets an attitude. When fresh, he just has a bigger motor, but is still in total control and of sound mind.

He's been used for ranch work, been roped off of quite a bit, been used in ranch rodeos, started colts, sorted and cut cattle, hunted lions, led cattle, and had the kids thrown up on him too. Not selling as a kids horse, he’s just kind natured and tolerant.

Jorge stands about 14.3h, and is thick and wears an ought shoe. Both conformationally and mentally, he's built to be a competitive arena horse, and we think he would excel in that world--especially as a heel horse or for amateur cuttings.

We would like to sell him to a home where he will get to go do those things, and not be abused on a rough ranch. If we didn't care about his talents or his future, we'd keep him here and use him like a ranch horse in the mountains. With that said, it's not fair to Jorge. He's bred to be competitive, and competitive he IS.

He's easy to deworm. Easy to shoe. Easy to catch. Easy to load. Easy to get along with. Stalls great. Top dog in the pen, usually.

He's sound, sane, kind, able, feely, talented and just plain GREAT to ride and be around!

We will get a PPE scheduled, and once completed he will come with PPE, Coggins, Health Cert, Brand Inspection, Bill of Sale, AQHA Papers, & AQHA Transfer.

Brody is offering his personal horse up for sale. This is a decision he is not taking lightly, and the perfect fit is a total must. Brody and his dad purchased George from Red Hills Performance Horses as a long yearling and now he is close to performance finished, and ready for a job with someone. He’s best suited as an arena horse or on a ranch that isn’t going to destroy his body. He’s too nice a horse to be used and abused somewhere, or we could just keep him and do that to him ourselves. 🧐We have so many horses, six that are under four and need time currently, and Brody does not have the time to take George anywhere and do any roping or competing on him. Our loss will be someone’s gain!

We are asking 35k, but motivated to get him moved as we have a busy and unpredictable summer coming up. We’re going to get his PPE
scheduled, but all the rest of his vet work is UTD and he will come with coggins, health cert, PPE, brand inspection, registration, transfer, and bill of sale. Thank you!😊

While we have never offered to sell horses on commission before, we have been running the Lazy B Horse Program since Feb. of 2024.

After being informed of the ranch’s decision to disperse the entire Horse Program last week, we were offered the opportunity to help them move all their horses—quickly, efficiently, but more importantly to the right homes. We know their horses inside and out, and having done all the training on the babies (2022s to more recent), we feel confident being able to present the horses fairly and accurately.
