After my boss recently went to the Charlotte hair show she found out that BIG hair is back with a vengence. Back in the 1980s we all remenber that permed hair raised to the celing well that particular look is not back ( thank God ) but really full blow drys and velcrow rollers are. so are body waves yes were going to be perming again i said this a few years ago it all comes back around. This time though its soft waves for body not tight and high like the 1980s.

AWESOME Experience!! I had my hair colored on Friday night at Alter Ego Salon in Raleigh. When I arrived my hair originally was brown underneath with light blond highlights. I brought in a picture of color I wanted to achieve. The color in the picture was strawberry blonde with chunks of blond highlights. After 2 attempts and 4 ½ h...ours at Alter Ego later it was a dark, dark brown. The color was horrible and not only was I completely dissatisfied and upset Dana Hunter the owner insisted I pay $92 for the service. My boyfriend has been going to Nikki Wilson for years. She opened her own salon a few years ago “Gel” in Cary. He called her Saturday morning and explained that I had a bad dye job that was in desperate need of repair. She was so sweet and told him that she could fit me with her new stylist Mark Ritchey, who was a celebrity stylist from Manhattan. When I arrived I noticed how beautifully the salon was decorated. Nikki and Mark both took time to talk to me about what color I was trying to achieve. They both assured me that they could turn this horrible dark brown into an amazing strawberry blonde. Mark was very comforting and told me that when I walked out he promised I would love my hair and he was right. I showed him the picture and he colored it exactly the way I wanted it. Not only was the color beautiful but he also did the blond highlights which made it look very rich. Mark is a very talented stylist who just relocated to this area from New York. The Raleigh area is lucky to have such a renowned stylist as Mark Ritchey. My experience with Gel Salon was nothing but amazing and would highly recommend this salon. Nikki and Mark could not have been more professional and comforting in my “hair disaster” moment. I could certainly tell that they had the knowledge and experience that I was looking for in a salon.
