I’ve been testing the new iPhone Handoff feature in and it’s been working really well.

Once it’s set up, you can use the same phone number across two compatible iPhones. When you pick up and unlock the other iPhone, your number switches over automatically.

I can see this being useful if you want to separate work and personal devices, keep a backup iPhone, or even switch between something like the new iPhone Duo and another iPhone depending on what you’re doing.

One thing I noticed though is T-Mobile lists iPhone Handoff at $5/month, but on my account it’s showing as FREE.

If this is included free with certain plans, that makes the feature a lot more appealing and I’ll probably keep using it.
