According to Neil Sperry, the waiting period is over, and it is time to make the call on our plants. Mr. Sperry states, "So we're almost into April. How impressive is it that a plant that was hurt badly by the freeze has squeezed out a lonely little budlet? Is that reason to celebrate? Is it reason to wait?
Generally no. It's going to take some of the plants I'm seeing posted here years to grow back into anything useful. I know how much most of you enjoy having beauty around you. It's probably time to accept the losses and start making those changes, because if you wait any longer you're going to start finding shortages of the really good plants."

Before and After . . . We started out by removing the existing plants which were all the same greens and all the same textures . . . very boxy, with no movement. Added grasses, roses, succulents, yuccas, river rocks and boulders for color and texture variety. The After pictures were taken 2 years after the renovation. What a difference 2 years of growth makes!
