Operation Soteria Shield has resulted in 276 arrests and the rescue of 89 children across Texas. The statewide operation brought together dozens of law enforcement agencies to combat online child exploitation and identify offenders. Authorities say investigations are continuing.

Three people, including a child, have died after a gas explosion sparked a massive five alarm fire at an apartment complex in Dallas. Multiple others were injured as firefighters worked through the rubble and investigated the cause of the explosion. Authorities say the incident remains under investigation.

Several fi****ms and approximately 6.475 kilograms of fentanyl were recently seized by investigators, with an estimated street value between $975,000 and $1 million. This outstanding police work prevented thousands of potentially lethal doses from ever reaching our streets. Just one pill can kill, and every seizure like this plays a critical role in protecting our community.
Keeping our streets safe is a shared responsibility. Residents are encouraged to stay alert, talk with loved ones about the dangers of fentanyl and illegal narcotics, and report suspicious activity to law enforcement. Working together, we can continue making our community safer for everyone.

Irving police say a 33 year old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly stabbing his grandmother and mother during an attack outside a Las Colinas apartment complex on May 17.
According to investigators, both victims suffered serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals. The suspect was arrested at the scene and remains in custody at the Dallas County Jail.

Man Arrested Weeks After Knife Attack on Ex-Girlfriend at Las Colinas Apartment
38-year-old Eduardo Castro-Lopez was booked into the Irving Jail on May 17th at approximately 9 p.m.
He attacked the woman in a rage of jealousy after she refused to hand over her cell phone. The victim used her hands to block the attack and suffered a cut to the palm of her right hand during the struggle.
