The eleven original songs contained in the CD convey a wide range of styles, influences and groups from rock and pop music, including progressive rock, world-beat, indie/alternative rock, heavy metal, classic rock, and more, each presented with John and Mark’s unique stamp. Fans of artists Peter Gabriel, Rush, Yes, Sting, The Rolling Stones, Mettalica, Phil Collins, Joe Satriani, and Eric Johnson (to name a few) will find plenty of music here to sink their musical teeth into. Aside from John and Mark’s rock solid, energetic, and masterful bass and guitar performances on the project, “…Excellent Rock Adventure” also exhibits an extraordinary attention to production detail. The palette of sounds from their respective instruments, as well as state-of-the-art synth programming is astonishing without being overbearing or distracting.
