🌿 Camron has changed since we met him.

Mowing & Mentoring has helped him earn money, learn how to manage and save it, and pick up new life skills–all while senior citizens needing help with their lawns receive that care.

Not only does Camron receive the help that becomes hope, he also provides it to his neighbors! The story continues at bridgebuilders.org/ntgd

ā‡ļø Changing direction in life is difficult. Camron has shown us how strong his character is, as he charges forward in hope!

Just like us, Camron sometimes chose unhealthy recreation, but when he realized he wanted growth, he chose to re-create himself. His journey led to a crossroads where he had to choose who and what he would surround his life with, and he knew he had friends at BridgeBuilders to walk alongside.

Neighbors know BridgeBuilders as a place of help, where the road is never walked alone. Your giving sponsors help, and help becomes hope. There’s a part for you to play in this mission, if you’re able–just head to bridgebuilders.org/ntgd for your next step!

North Texas Giving Day — BridgeBuilders Yet when he desired growth in life, he chose to re-create himself. The journey led him to a crossroads: would he surround his life with the same things he had before, or follow the narrow path into new life?

We’re proud to see Pastor Brandon Rowe’s voice and leadership continuing to grow, not only in South Dallas, but in conversations about how communities like ours are understood, supported, and strengthened.

Recently, Brandon was invited by The Rees-Jones Foundation to participate in a panel exploring the experience of fatherhood in communities like South Dallas. He brought the perspective of someone who isn’t simply studying these challenges, but walking alongside fathers, families, and young people every day.

Reflecting on the conversation, Brandon shared:

"Today I shared the struggles of fighting fires on the ground, in the community, with limited resources. Sometimes those resources are so limited that all we can do is damage control. Resources include both funding and committed people. I was encouraged to hear from those fighting on the local, state, and federal levels, and from those working to bridge the gap between the work on the ground and government policy.ā€

We’re grateful for organizations like The Rees-Jones Foundation that care deeply about the realities our neighbors face and intentionally create space for community-anchored leaders like Brandon to help shape the conversation.

This is what it looks like when proximity becomes perspective and perspective is given a seat at the table.

šŸ  Did you know that somewhere between 3-5% of senior citizens are homebound in the USA?

The South Dallas Community Market was built to serve neighbors with nutritious food, and we won't forget about our homebound seniors in that mission!

This summer, our students got to take part in making deliveries, building deeper bridges among their own neighbors. šŸ’™
