That ain’t apple juice!! 😖🫣🤢 If you’ve been on a new construction job site, you know… Just put that anywhere why dontcha… Yes, these gifts are often left lying around. First time seeing one on the island. 😑

This is what holds your attic stairs in the ceiling, and it’s cracked from excessive nailing and overdriven nails. This thing fails, you fall to the ground, 12’ in this case, and likely on your side or back. Believe it or not, most attic stair pull-down assemblies are installed incorrectly. Most assemblies have a diagram and installation specs on a sticker in plain sight, and this tells you what kind of fasteners to use and where. Give yours a look-see 👀….

We empathize with our customers. This one really grinds my gears… 10 year structural warranty inspection. Textbook signs of differential settlement. Enough movement to cause significant damage in and around the garage. Builder sends an engineer who documents an “acceptable” amount of deflection. In short, homeowner was told to jump in a lake… IMHO structural integrity should be measured by more than just the numbers. The amount of damage the building is experiencing should play a reasonable role when dealing with warranties. I’m not a fan of this major builder, who shall remain nameless… 😑

Forget removing, here we layer…🤨 This right here is the perfect metaphor for what we home inspecors discover daily in our beloved city.
