Looking forward to retreat #40 this week. We are hosting a great group of veterans. We have been enjoying some great fishing and loads of fun at the Ranch.

Had a huge group at See You Last Sunday. Food was great. Thanks to Bill and Dani Shrum for sharing about the Vietnam War! Lots of great conversations and laughter. An emotional ceremony as we added a memorial plaque to the Memorial Bridge in honor of Leigh's sister Lindsay Clare Goodman. She is deeply loved and missed. May she rest in peace!!!

We had a great turnout for our 5 mile RUCK to combat Veteran and 1st responder su***de at Abney Park in Gilmer, TX. Thanks to all those that participated. A huge thank you to Barbie and Robert Rhode with Mission 22 for the great lunch. Also a shout out to Mike, Evelyn, Sylvia, Stefen with DAV Auxiliary, Grace and Tambria Operation True North, Ken Hansen Veteran Peer Support Network for all the support and su***de prevention information!! NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE!!!

Reminder our RUCK for su***de awareness is tomorrow at 9am at Abney Park in Gilmer. Check in starts at 8 am. Carry a RUCK with canned goods for food pantry. We will have ribbons and bandanas so you can write name of your loved ones lost to su***de if you walk in memory!!

Hey East Texans we need all veteran and 1st responder supporters at Abney Park in Gilmer at 9 AM Sat May 30th. We are having a RUCK( 2.5 and 5 mile walk/ run with rucks/backpacks filled with canned goods) to spread awareness of mental health issues and su***de prevention. We need to show these brave men and women our support and let them know they do not walk alone! With 22 servicemen taking their lives a day something has to change!! We will line the starting line with people and flags and cheer them along their walk, come on out!! Still time to sign up and walk with us at www.countingstarsranch.com
