Readers are leaders and we are so thankful for Jamison’s contribution to the community!
Dedicating his project to his grandfather and great-grandfather, too, Jamison continues to live out the Scout Oath and Law!
How about a little to kick off May?
Soon, Jeremiah J. will sport his uniform for something truly special – his very own Court of Honor (CoH).
A member of Troop 425 in the Middle Tennessee Council, the now 15-year-old did not reach this milestone by accident. As Mom, Jolene, notes, Jeremiah had his sights set on becoming an Eagle Scout from the start.
As the photos demonstrate, Jeremiah “crossed over” from to – from his pack to a troop. In doing so, Jeremiah (and his family) chose to continue embracing all the “goods” of : character development, outdoor adventures, life skills, service and giving back, incredible friends, strong, positive values, learning opportunities, mentorship and so much more.
“Beyond his accomplishments, what stands out most is his character,” Jolene says. “[Jeremiah] is respectful, driven and leads by example, encouraging those around him to do their best.”

Each month from February-May we want to hear about how you are featuring ALPS (Adventure Leadership Personal Growth Service)⛰️. This month’s focus is service. Scouting America's Impact 365 initiative is a great way to do that: https://www.scouting.org/service/ Each year, Impact365 introduces a national service theme that unites Scouts around a shared focus. Themes are inspirational—not required—and simply showcase the breadth of service Scouting provides. The theme for this year is “Celebrating America250”
Let us know in the comments about how your crew demonstrates service in the comments!

“Lion’s Roar teaches our youngest Scouts how to recognize safe and unsafe situations and develop personal boundaries,” says Tara Noem, parent and Tiger Den Leader for Cub Scout Pack 367. “It also teaches what to do if those boundaries are crossed - yell, run away and tell a trusted adult.”
Youth safety is paramount - whether it’s at a activity or anywhere outside of . Safeguarding youth is a shared responsibility - supported by parents, reinforced by leaders and taught in age‑appropriate ways to youth, themselves.
Recently, a news segment was released about a Cub Scout's heroic actions in Ohio (the quote at the beginning of this post is from that piece). We are proud of the Cub Scout featured in this video. In a frightening situation, she used the personal‑safety skills she had been taught in and immediately alerted her mom. You can watch full news segment online: https://ow.ly/Gkfp50YTEJ5.
“Dangerous situations involving strangers are rare, but they do occur and often end terribly," says Glen Pounder, EVP and Chief Safeguarding Officer of Scouting America. "Remaining vigilant in all circumstances - and empowering children early with simple, age‑appropriate safety skills - is a critical part of prevention."
