June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. 🤝
Men’s mental health is often called a silent crisis—but the data speaks volumes. 📊
Did you know that nearly 1 in 10 men experience daily depression or anxiety, yet fewer than half will ever seek professional help?
In the workplace and at home, traditional expectations often pressure men to internalize stress, mask burnout with irritability, or suffer entirely in silence. In fact, roughly 49% of men admit they feel more depressed than they will ever let on to their loved ones.
Real strength isn't about carrying the weight alone—it’s about having the courage to speak up. Let’s break the stigma, recognize the subtle signs of distress in the men around us, and make checking in a habit.

Some of the people who need rest the most are the people who feel guiltiest taking it.
If resting makes you anxious, that is worth noticing. Sometimes the nervous system gets so used to urgency that stillness starts to feel unsafe.
That does not mean you are bad at rest. It means your body may need gentler ways to relearn it.
What would restful look like if it did not have to be earned first?

We don't wait for our electronic devices to completely die before we plug them in, so why do we constantly do it to our minds and bodies? Rest is a necessity, not a reward you have to earn. Save this for the next time you feel guilty for doing nothing.

MSW (Candidate) | Intern Therapist at The Empowering Space
Natasha is a Master of Social Work intern currently completing her clinical training while providing supervised, compassionate care.
She offers a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, feel heard, and work through life at their own pace.
Her approach is strengths-based and solutions-focused — helping clients build on what’s already working while developing practical tools for emotional wellness and daily life.
She supports children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, chronic illness, caregiver stress, and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming care.
