Recently, D and her Life Coach, Newana, visited her new college to register for classes. While Newana didn’t need to be there, D wanted her by her side “just in case.” Moments like these remind us why relationships matter.

Just six months ago, college wasn’t even on D’s radar. Today, she’s enrolled, excited, and stepping confidently into her next chapter.
One of the greatest joys of our work is watching students gain the skills, confidence, and support they need to achieve things they once thought were out of reach. We’re honored to walk alongside students through middle school, high school, and beyond…whether their path leads to college, trade school, first job, or start of a career!

Did you have someone who walked alongside you during your middle school years?

Our Life Coach, Rich, is that person for so many students. Through engaging discussion groups and real-life conversations that matter, he helps youth build skills like emotional regulation, healthy relationships, and communication.

Today is Children's Mental Health Awareness Day 💚

At Together We Thrive, we see firsthand how deeply mental health impacts the youth we serve in middle schools and high schools across North Texas.

From social and academic pressure to family stress, technology, unhealthy learned behaviors, and more…many students are carrying burdens that often go unseen.

These emotions can affect relationships, decisions, education and future well-being.

Because of your support, we get to help youth thrive in all areas of life!

Our Lead Life Coach, Amanda D., shared:

“By emotional safety, we mean youth feeling safe to talk about their emotions and what’s going on inside. As Life Coaches, we have the opportunity to provide students with a safe place to process their emotions. There is always more going on behind someone’s behaviors. Oftentimes behaviors are being addressed, but emotional needs are not. I’m so grateful that we get to partner with families and schools to provide that level of support for our students.”

Today at our Circle 41 prayer gathering, we heard from Amanda D., our Lead Life Coach, and lifted up our graduating seniors in prayer. 🎓

This is Amanda’s third class of graduates she’s walked alongside, and she has the biggest heart for her students! Week after week, she meets with them on campus, helping them take real steps toward their future. For many, she’s a consistent support they don’t have anywhere else.

From college and scholarship applications to budgeting, transportation, and big life decisions, our Life Coaches are there to help. They ask the right questions, build confidence, and hold students accountable to help them thrive!

Amanda shared that some students begin their journey not even believing graduation is possible. That’s what makes this season so special! We get to witness our youth accomplish goals they didn’t think they could.

Our relationships don’t end at graduation. We continue walking with our students as they step into college, careers, trade school, the military, or whatever comes next.
