Abide.

In the vineyard, there are seasons that look quiet
even cut back. Dormancy feels like the desert and pruning feels like loss. Vines are stripped down to what looks like less.

🍃But this is where the real work happens

We’ve learned out here at Mitchell Vines that growth doesn’t begin in the flourishing — it begins in the abiding. In the stillness. In the trust. In the moments when everything feels like it’s being taken away, yet something greater is being prepared beneath the surface.

Every cut has purpose.
Every season has intention.
Every vine must abide before it can produce.

And when the time is right

what looked like barrenness gives way to new buds, stronger fruit, and a harvest that couldn’t have come any other way.

So if you’re in a season of pruning — don’t rush it. If you’re in a season of waiting — don’t fight it.

Abide, because growth is coming. đŸŒ±đŸ‡

🍇 HARVEST 2025 – 5,600 POUNDS! 🍇

We are overflowing with gratitude after an incredible harvest day this past Saturday! With around 45 volunteers, we harvested 5,600 pounds of grapes in just 2 hours—a true picture of teamwork and community.

The cloud cover gave us the most pleasant weather we could’ve hoped for! After we harvested, we crushed some grapes on the crush pad to kick off this vintage! Then, we enjoyed lunch by the vineyard.

Thank you to everyone who came out to help—whether you picked grapes, hauled buckets, or just shared in the joy of the day—this harvest was special because of YOU. We’re grateful for your hands and your hearts!

Cheers to what’s to come đŸ·âœš

We are so thankful for the volunteers who showed up to help us plant on Saturday afternoonđŸ™ŒđŸ»

We began with a Blessing of the Vines and quoted John 15:5 where Jesus said
“I am the vine and you are the branches. Abide in me and I in you, and you will bear much fruit. Apart from me you can do nothing.” Then, we were led in a beautiful blessing by .

A group of about 25 volunteers helped us plant 450 Cabernet Sauvignon in just over an hour! Our vineyard is now at 1500 vines and it is in the plans to finish out the 2nd block next year with a white grape. I wonder what it will be??
