Creative Friends: This post is intended to ask questions rather than pose answers.
Think of it as a Creative Call to Action
A pebble in a pond. Here it goes...
History has taught us that Revolutions
Involve struggle, losses & gains
Shifts in paradigms
And by it we are changed.
This Global 2020 Revolution
Finds us on our knees
With shortages of medical supplies
Disruptions in supply chains
Handicapping our living and work routines.
Forcing us to reckon with
What is essential in our lives.
Where is it we feel safe?
Why is this happening?
Who is it we can count on?
When will the next wave of change come?
How do we feel & process our lives being up-ended.
Our trenches are our hospitals,
Our soldiers are our first responders,
The qualities, values & abilities of our leaders are brought into sharp focus,
While we are called to shelter in place.
What is it, exactly, we are fighting?
An invisible enemy?
Our own abilities to respond?
And during this time of Revolution
Linked globally in time and space,
How will we shift our paradigms?
How will we change our lives in isolation and in community?
How will we re-prioritize?
How will we work together?
How will we inspire rather than looking to others for inspiration?
How will we apply our individual talents and abilities?
How will we work in community with others?
Our present mindfulness and creativity
Will inform our future actions.
It will inform how we get up off our knees
And climb up to our feet.
It will inform the direction we move
What we will learn
What we will value
How we will flourish in the future.
How will YOU be changed?
How will WE be changed as a society?
How will you engage to shift the paradigm?
