Posted • Starting riding at age 12 at a competition in Philadelphia, Sgt. Brad Kaminski, Toms River Recruiting Station recruiter, started competing in local events in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and New Hampshire areas.
soon was riding at a professional level. He toured with the Cartoon Network across the country. He started attending college pursuing an electrical engineering degree and his interest in wiring and electronics drove him to join the as an Apache technician.
He realized after he reached his associates level with his degree that he needed to do something to give himself a competitive advantage with experience for when he was ready to look for a job.
"Joining in this specific job, it taught me everything in electronics. Not only that, now I get to finish my degree and have it completely free. The Army is going to pay for the bachelors so I can finish and be that electrical engineer. I'll know both sides of the spectrum."
Kaminski now combines his riding and love of the Army at the local skate parks. Often on his lunch break in uniform, he spins and jumps his BMX bike around the ramps and pipes, keeping his skills sharp and doing something he loves. He talks with other riders and serves as an example of someone who can do what you love and also be in the U.S. Army.

Making friends as a :
Have you ever been on a ? Maybe in sports? Now amplify that X💯. That’s what being a Soldier is about. I had an amazing group of friends before the and an even bigger set 7 years later.
Friends from Jersey, Washington, Texas, Virginia, Africa, Mexico, the Philippines...the list goes on. I’ve learned more about places to vacation, cultures, points of view than I could have in my hometown.
We go out to a bar, bowling, football games, family barbecues, birthdays. Many think that being a Soldier is like being in jail 😂.
Best thing about my friends is they have my back. And I have theirs. Need help moving? There. Kids birthday? There. Madden tournament. Definitely there! Friends with purpose, direction, standards and great jokes 😁. We push each other to grow and do better. Want some solid friends? Become a Soldier.

It was great to see during the holiday break. She’s a tough now! Learning, laughing and creating memories (good and bad) throughout her training experience. It’s awesome seeing how proud her family is and where she’ll go from here 🚀

Greatness requires you to make a choice. The Army has 150 options to choose from. The problem is you’re afraid to make a choice. Waiting for someone to choose for you.
