What can I say, it is that time of the year where everybody is offering pumpkin spice versions of whatever it is that they sell.
My lovely wife know that I enjoy changing the oil myself and working on our cars.
Bless her heart for a case of the seasons finest pumpkin spice motor oil!
Awesome

Just a quick word about open enrollment.

We are all too familiar with the phrase "Which came first, the chicken or the egg"? Your answer is largely dependent on whether you believe in creation or not and this is not a forum for that discussion.
Another similar thought occurred to me this morning that could be as deep as the chicken.
My wife Janet, made the most amazing homemade waffles this morning. It dawned on me that the waffle was nothing more than a vessel to contain maple syrup.
So, here ya go... was the waffle created for the syrup, or was the syrup created for the waffle? A variation on the question of which came first.
I think the syrup was here first and the need for a handy little container to consume that wonderful tonic was needed and bam, waffles.

Hey everyone, I just started working with a new company for supplemental insurance.
Get this... THE ARE VERY FRIENDLY TO THOSE WITH DIABETES AND HEART CONDITIONS.
Typically, if you had both you would be stuck or if you had more than 3 medications treating your diabetes, you'd be stuck.
Don't get me wrong, they do look for those that are outside their underwriting guidelines, but I just wrote someone that I have had declined multiple times.
This is good.
In the insurance world I cannot post names or logos without getting permission first meaning give me a shout and I can get you a rate and tell ya the name of the company.

Guys, I posted this up over a year ago and then my page for my agency was shut down a couple weeks later for posting inaccurate information. I assume it was because I was telling ppl this is an option that could save some bucks for ya.
Keep in mind, seniors on Medicare HAVE to have a Part-D plan or MAPD no matter what. You don't have to use your prescription coverage but you have to have it or risk a penalty.
CHECK THIS OUT!!! I repeat, CHECK THIS OUT!!!
Do your homework and see if the company can save you money. We all complain about prescription costs and you can do something about it. The operative word here is YOU!
The link is in this post. Do your homework, factor in the cost of the membership, and make a decision.
Senior discounts...
They are out there for us to grab & go!
Read a post not long ago talking about various discounts out there. A couple cell phone companies were mentioned but not the one Janet and I have.
We were at the T-Mobile store (the company we have) for a phone upgrade and asked if there was a plan that would be better for us. She asked for our ID'S and told yes, a plan that is nearly 30% less for 3 phones!
I asked what plan that was and she said we qualified for the "senior" plan which she verified our ages off our ID'S.
Lesson learned... always ask.
DENTAL COVERAGE
If you have ever looked at obtaining separate coverage for your dental needs you already know that the benefits are typically limited and often have 12 month waiting periods for the more costly care such as crowns and implants.
In fact, if you called me you would have heard "just take the amount of the premium and set it aside every month for when ya need to go to the dentist".
Things have changed. A company that I write for has a plan that can cover you 100% first year and if you are replacing a current dental coverage, the 12 month waiting period is waived. Yes, that is correct, it is waived.
Other plans I have looked at have a lifetime benefit for certain services meaning once you reach the maximum, that is it, your done, and coverage no longer is available for that service (like implants). This plan resets every year meaning there is no cap!
Benefit amounts begin at $1,000 and go all the way up to $5,000 annually.
Bottom line, this plan is a viable option for sure. I would be willing to compare this to any existing coverage you may have today.
Mark your calendar: The fall Medicare Open Enrollment Period begins in 15 days, and lasts from October 15 to December 7, 2021. Depending on your circumstances, this may be the only time during the year that you may be able to enroll in or switch to another Medicare Advantage plan or Medicare Part D prescription drug plan, or you can drop your plan and return to Original Medicare.
Like last year... if you have questions please contact me. I will do my best to get your answer.
I get calls for dental from time to time and I have never really been impressed with the coverage from the plans I had available to me., until now.
I recently came across a plan that has an impressive network of providers and coverage for dental, vision, and hearing. If by chance your dentist is not in the plan, you can still use your dentist. The annual benefit amount can be used for any area of coverage respective to the deductibles of the plan.
Annual benefit amounts have three options; $1,000 - $2,000 and $3,000!
The annual benefit can be used for any coverage area meaning it can be all dental, or vision, or hearing.
I can easily send you a brochure via email. Just let me know.
