1. Why did you want to become a nurse?
Growing up watching my mom perform her duties as a nurse I know I wanted to help out, so I became a CNA. I enjoyed it so much, I furthered my education to nursing and became an LVN.

2. What is one of your favorite memories with your patient so far?
- My favorite memory with my patient is watching him get bigger and stronger every day. I love seeing his smile when I walk through the door ever day.

3. What is your favorite color?
- Blue

4. What career would you choose if you weren't a nurse?
- I would want to be in the fashion industry to make my own clothes.

5. If you could travel to one destination, what would it be?
- The Maldives - the water is so beautiful!

We just couldn't miss the opportunity to feature Claire Foster, Director of Field Support, in our Maxim Women in Leadership.

Claire started with Maxim in September 2009 as a Healthcare Recruiter after being recruited by Kellie Lanier. Eventually, Claire was promoted to the Administrative Officer position - one of only a few women in the role - and then jumped in as one of the very first Regional Field Managers in June 2014. Today, Claire is the fearless leader of the entire Field Support Group.

In her current role, she gets to meet Field Support team members from offices across the country, listen to their experiences, and find new ways to put their ideas into action. Thank you Claire for breaking down barriers and championing a culture of process improvement and efficiency here at Maxim.

A lot has changed in the last three weeks. Here's what we've been doing at Maxim to support our employees.

Our COVID-19 Task Force, established back in February, continues to meet daily to discuss and follow the latest guidance from the CDC and state and local governments. We are working continuously to adapt our operations to adhere to the latest guidelines – which are changing almost constantly.

The situation has been very fluid and everyone’s understanding has evolved over time, including at the CDC and other government agencies. The only thing that has not changed are the social distancing guidelines and instructions on washing your hands to slow the spread of this virus.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been very busy! We have transitioned a majority of our workforce to work from home with many of our offices working remotely or operating with skeleton crews.

We are still open for business and we will remain open throughout the duration of this crisis to support facilities with their healthcare staffing needs and maintain in-home care for patients that still need us.
