Almost 18 months after signing on the dotted line, our entire executive team and 4/5 of our board were able to get together in person for the first time. It has been an unimaginable 18 months, but we are excited for the future of Medix Infusion and what’s yet to come. 😊

May is Cystic Fibrosis Awareness month and our friends at Blue Caboose for Cystic Fibrosis are spreading on all aspects of the disease, treatment, and managing infections. Our team was able to give them a look at what goes into supplying a patient with antibiotics for home infusion from the pharmacy perspective. We also learned more about CF. Did you know that CF is the most common rare disease in America without government funding for treatments??

Thanks to Medix Infusion, we get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to fill an order of IV antibiotics. Here is a look at a pharmacy clean room, one day of 2x/daily supplies, and one week of supplies! Most CF antibiotics are 3x/daily and can last 3 weeks.

Happy National Nurses Week to all the amazing nurses we are lucky enough to have on ! The care you provide and the way you make our patients feel is unmatched. In a crazy year, you've gone above and beyond and for that we are so grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The Medix Team had an awesome time at last week’s University of Texas at Dallas Pro Sales Challenge event! As a part of their Pro Sales Concentration in the Naveen Jindal School of Management, students role played selling their product or service and then participated in a reverse job fair. Today we celebrate year one as Medix Infusion! We couldn’t be prouder of Team Medix and the care we provided patients during a year like none other. Through the many ups and downs, we supported one another and found time to have a little fun. Here’s to fun, continued growth, and caring for more patients in year 2!

Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women on ! This year’s theme highlights the impact women and girls worldwide have had as healthcare workers, caregivers, innovators, and community organizers during the pandemic. We could not agree more. They have gone above and beyond for our patients, their families, and each other during these trying times. The future is bright!

The Medix team didn’t pause for a global pandemic, so naturally, a record-breaking winter storm didn’t stop us! Our staff set aside their own personal issues to make sure our patients received the critical care they needed. The pharmacy team navigated the slick roads to get to the clean room to prepare medications. Our CEO and President took to the streets, with their 4-wheel drive, to deliver supplies to the suites and every single dose of medication to the front doors of our home infusion patients. The intake team coordinated rescheduling patients ASAP and our clinical team readied the suites for their arrival Thursday and Friday. Amid caring for our patients, our nurses and NPs dealt with freezing temperatures, rolling blackouts, and burst pipes in their homes, while also taking care of one another. We came together to provide a warm place to stay, a ride into the clinic, or a simple call just to check-in because we are a team and a family. As this week ends, we could not be any prouder of how Team Medix handled this latest challenge!
