These past couple of weeks have been all about preparation — getting systems together, brushing up on new tax updates, learning about all the new tax changes from our government, setting goals, and tightening up the business so this upcoming tax season runs smoother than ever.

I’ve been learning, growing, and honestly unlearning a few bad habits too. Because elevation requires honesty. You can’t step into your next level still carrying the mindset that kept you stuck.

Tips to keep in mind about the “One Big Beautiful Bill”

The OBBB pushes up the standard deduction amounts: for 2025 it’s raised (for example married couples filing jointly get $31,500; singles get $15,750)

For 2026 it bumps again: married filing jointly now $32,200; single $16,100; heads of household $24,150

It retains (makes permanent) many of the 2017 tax cuts that were going to sunset.
