These are the pass bands on the TX filter and RX filter of the MMDVM boards. The top is the TX and the bottom the RX filter. Notice there is less than 3dB of attenuation at the target frequency.

I made these with my shiny new Spectrum Analyzer / Vector Network Analyzer

The elves are busy at LoneStar Semi.
This is an RF Engine for the Simplex and Duplex designs.
This will streamline the build process, make inventory more easy to manage and significantly improve quality of the build.

Early testing is going on now. I will announce a ready for production date as soon as I am confident of the robustness of the design.

Remembering the Grateful Dead's Wall of Sound: an absurd feat of technological engineering 09/08/2022

This is a good read for my friends that enjoy this sort of thing.

Remembering the Grateful Dead's Wall of Sound: an absurd feat of technological engineering It looks excessive, but there was a method in Owsley's madness when he designed the Grateful Dead's Wall of Sound. The best live sound ever.

Proof of concept complete. This is a prototype of a product I am working on for the FALL. Self contained LTE modem for use on Raspberry Pi. I have verified I can configure the stock Pi-Star to work with this modem and therefore use it to connect my hotspot to the internet from literally anywhere.

This will be much more convienient than carrying around an LTE hotspot or to pair with a phone. Fully dedicated connection via LTE.

Final product will be far smaller. I have a few more surprise features for this board.

Wake the kids and call the neighbors.

I have 90% of the components now for the next build of Duplex Boards. I hope to have them going in about 2 weeks. The STM32F103 was the unicorn I could not find. Its quite an elaborate process to get them going. About 4 weeks after that I'll have populated boards.

It may be the week before Christmas but the elves here at LoneStar Semi never stop working.

Well I have some good news! I received today from Avnet 250 of the STM32F103 microcontrollers. This is what has had me out of business. So hopefully within the first few weeks of the new year I can have another LOT of Duplex modems in process.

Using DroidStar and MMDVM as an M17 HT Transceiver 11/14/2021

The LoneStar USB stick being used with M17 on Droidstar.

Using DroidStar and MMDVM as an M17 HT Transceiver After the great work by the rest of the M17 to (nearly) finalize a working M17 OTA protocol and the marvelous addition of the M17 mode to MMDVM by G4KLX, I a...
