This Friday at the South Dallas Cultural Center is the opening reception for Shades In Black. Excited to be showing with an amazing lineup of artists!

After painting this for over a year, I’m finally done😩👏🏾

This is what I consider my ultimate love letter to Houston 🤘🏾, the strength & resilience of community, matriarchs and just growing up in the South.

MESSAGE: There’s ebbs & flows in this life. We may go through turmoil alone but we heal in community. With style, with grace, lace yourself with knowledge, a sense of humor, and see the beauty in things.

We brought in the love, the vibes, the warmth, and the respite from life this weekend! All of the beautiful faces, people, jazzy outfits we HAD to give y’all a vibe you wouldn’t get anywhere else.

So honored and dope that y’all chose to spend your evenings with us. It was an honor leading the paint & sip and watching everybody put their own spin on the canvases.

Our trivia game proved what we all know: great music is timeless and a lot of us have old souls 😂 Big love to our raffle & trivia winners.

And of course you did more than your big one hosting this event and bringing our vibes together. The decor and tone was unmatched 10000/10 for sure 🔥🔥
