As cheesy as it may sound, my passion is helping others achieve their business goals. I have spent years encouraging others to pursue their dreams, helping them define their business goals, building their websites, strategic planning, and more.

By harnessing my love for graphic design and writing, and combining that with my background in marketing and sales, it's second nature to come up with creative strategies for online growth.

OK so you're using social media to gain customers but your posts aren't getting much attention

You are getting attention on your posts but it doesn't lead to sales...

What gives?
You've been sharing daily about your amazing products and services. You let everyone know what you do, messaged everyone you've ever known to say "HEY! BUY MY THING!"

It's not that your products or services aren't great. It's not that you don't post all day. It's not that you don't have enough followers. It's going to come down to 3 things: audience, content, and algorithm.

Today, let's talk audience.

Who do you sell your thing to? What type of people are they? What are their needs or interests? How does your thing benefit them? Why is your thing better than someone else's thing?

Let's say you sell luxury skincare products to reduce wrinkles and dark spots. You wouldn't want young, broke people to be the only ones on your page. Sure, it feels good to see your following increase, but what does that matter if they don't buy from you?

If you don't already know who your ideal customers are then take 5 minutes right now and sort it out. Then, go find them!

Facebook groups can be a great place to find customers. That does NOT mean to join a bunch of groups and spam them with your thing!

You know who your ideal customer is, so you should have an idea of what types of groups they might be in. Health and fitness? Beauty and makeup? Business professionals? Gun owners? There are groups for every demographic.

ALWAYS follow the rules of the group. That means you have to read the rules and be conscious of those rules when you make posts and comments. If you don't follow group rules you will face removal and could even give your business a bad name!

Many groups don't allow promotion posts. So how can you find customers in a group that you aren't allowed to advertise in?

Show up, be relevant, offer advice, make posts - get involved in the group and add value. Be known for your expertise. This doesn't mean only giving advice that results in a product plug! In fact, it should happen rarely. Connect with people, offer free advice, share funny stories.

Don't scroll for hours hoping to wander across the right post. Use the search feature within groups to search for posts relevant to your line of work. Spend 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening - you can squeeze that in, right?

This builds up your credibility so people will know you're the expert. They took your free advice and it helped so now they want to try your product. Instead of begging people to buy your thing they will be reaching out to you, asking how to get their hands on it.

If you own a business and haven't listed it on Google then what are you waiting for? Your potential customers are using Google to search for your products and services! How will they find you if you aren't listed?
