Hygiene is always important, but being safe and hygienic during your period is essential π©Έ Unfortunately, countless women around the world experience period poverty each month which puts them at higher risk for multiple medical complications including Toxic Shock Syndrome. Not only does reusing the same pad tampon for multiple days put severe strain on a woman's mental health but it often times leads to further complications. We're fighting to end period poverty, join us and show your support! ποΈ

We believe that a community built on the notion of empowering one another is the first step toward building a better future for struggling girls and women who menstruate π¨βπ©βπ§βπ§ So many of us have a period each month and can forget about the resources needed if we aren't in a situation of scarcity. Period poverty can be described as the inadequate access to menstrual hygiene essentials such as sanitary products, washing facilities, and waste management π©Έ This problem is widespread around the world and impacts not only a woman's physical and mental health but is also a huge contributor toward the gender gap. The inability to properly manage their periods leaves girls behind in critical areas such as education. π
