The Farm at Kickapoo
The Farm or The Farm at Kickapoo is where my father grew up farming here before he and my mother married in 1954.
They moved to town after they married and raised the family. They moved back to The Farm in the early 1980s.

Truth
This weekend was one of the most beautiful days. Temperature was a very comfortable 80 + degrees with a nice south breeze. Our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were very low-key. Watched some movies and read some. On Sunday we were invited to a FEAST at Eddie and Glenda Plummer’s. And, a FEAST it was. Their son and daughter-in-law came in for Christmas and smoked and grilled what could have been close to 50 lbs of brisket, pork loin, chicken and sausage. Then there was the beans, potatoes, corn and all the imaginable extra trimmings. Can’t even begin to describe the wonderful desserts. It was so nice and we met neighbors we didn’t know and some we haven’t had the time to visit recently. What a beautiful end to a special weekend. I love my community and I love the Plummer Family like my own.
