May is Better Sleep Month and we're here with a quick sleep tip: Get moving (at the right time!). 🏃‍♂️💨

There is a big difference between being mentally fatigued from a long day at the desk and being physically tired. Exercise is one of the best ways to deepen your sleep, but timing is everything:

Morning/Afternoon: Great for vigorous cardio. It raises your core temp, which then drops later in the day, helping you fall asleep faster.

Late Evening: Stick to yoga or light stretching. Intense workouts too close to bedtime can actually keep you wired!

The Goal: Aim for at least 30 minutes of movement today to earn that deep REM sleep tonight.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, but let’s be real: your mind matters every single day. 💚

Self-care isn't just bubble baths and spa days; it's the quiet work we do to stay well. This month, we’re challenging you to a "Mental Health Audit." Ask yourself:

Am I moving? (Even just a stretch?)

Am I hydrated? (Dehydration can mimic feelings of anxiety!)

Am I connected? (Have I talked to a friend or loved one today?)

If the answer is "no" to any of these, consider this your permission slip to take 10 minutes for yourself right now.

We refresh our homes in April—why not our mental space? This month is Stress Awareness Month and high stress lives in the future (anxiety) or the past (regret). Spring invites us back to the now.

Try out this 5-4-3-2-1 approach to manage your stress this month:

5 things you see (the bluebonnets, the changing leaves).

4 things you feel (the breeze, the warmth of the sun).

3 things you hear (birds, wind).

2 things you smell (fresh cut grass, blooming jasmine).

1 thing you taste (a sip of cool, infused water).

Science shows that just 20 minutes of "nature pills"—time spent in green spaces—can have positive benefits to your health. We are fortunate to have beautiful trails and preserves that serve as the perfect backdrop for a mental reset. This Earth Day, we encourage you to swap the screen for the scenery. Your long-term wellness isn't just about what happens in the exam room; it’s about how you interact with the world around you.

The "Sweet Spot" of Texas weather is here! ☀️ Before the triple digits arrive, now is the time to move your workout outdoors.

Our Spring Exercise Challenge: Try a "Zone 2" morning walk. Aim for 30 minutes at a pace where you can still hold a conversation. It’s the gold standard for cardiovascular longevity and a great way to soak up some Vitamin D before the afternoon UV index climbs too high.
