We talked about single point and linear perspective! This was a challenging exercise but they handled it like champs. This group reached out about creating a group to help bridge a gap with their art education. Our goal here is to challenge them, introduce them to art and art history, and have a little fun along the way!

🇺🇸🎨 Introducing Cynthiana’s Community America250 Mural Project 🎨🇺🇸

As part of America250, we’re creating something truly special together- a large-scale community mural made up of hundreds of individually painted tiles created by the people of Cynthiana and Harrison County. ❤️

This mural will become a lasting piece of public art representing the heart of our community, our creativity, and the people who make this place home.

Here’s how it works:
🧩 Participants will receive a mural tile kit with instructions, supplies, and helpful tips
🎨 You’ll paint your tile with the included paint
✨ Once complete, every tile will come together to create one giant collaborative mural

Our goal is to have as many parts of our community represented as possible:
👧 Kids
👵 Seniors
⛪ Churches
🏪 Local businesses
🎭 Artists & creatives
⚾ Sports teams & clubs
🤝 Nonprofits & community organizations

…and everyone in between!

Each tile becomes part of a much larger story- one painted by our community together.

As downtown Cynthiana thrives, city offers improvement grants to businesses Mayor Isaac Dailey says the grant application period for 2026 is open now. He said they expanded this year to allow the money to be used for HVACs, roofs, and other major projects.

Most of our Paint Your Pet workshops have fallen on Fridays, so we're excited to offer a SATURDAY one!
